Navigating Change, Transition and Military Lifestyle

Our couples therapist specializes in supporting couples navigating military deployments and lifestyle that comes with serving. You may find that couples therapy can help support your family through the unique challenges of communication while one half of the couple is away for an extended period of time, as well as the transition back into the family post-deployment.

Our couples therapist is also very passionate about supporting new parents navigate relationship changes postpartum. As a mom of two, she can offer personal empathy, knowledge of lived experience as well as professional training as a both Registered Nurse and Registered Social Worker (Clinical Specialist). Blending medical knowledge, anti-oppressive attachment theories and psychotherapy is an approach many couples find both reassuring and useful.

Communication, Conflict Management & Connection

We use evidence-based therapy (aka therapy that has research to support its effectiveness) to help identify and understand unhelpful patterns within the relationship and build healthier and more effective approaches to conflict and tough conversations moving forward. Think of your relationship therapist as a coach who is on everyone's team and wants the couple as a unit to succeed without taking sides.
