FAMILY THERAPY
Family therapy is a type of counselling that helps families improve communication, work through conflicts, and strengthen relationships. Sessions may include all family members or only some, depending on the goals of therapy.
In family therapy, the family as a unit is considered the client. Participation is voluntary. Therapy works best when everyone communicates honestly and respectfully.
The therapist's role is to support the well-being of individuals and the family as a whole while remaining neutral, and does not take sides in family conflicts. Family therapy is billed at a rate of $225 per 50 min session.
CIRCLE OF SECURITY
Circle of Security® Parenting is an evidence-based program that helps caregivers better understand their child’s emotional needs and build a stronger, more secure relationship. Using a simple and practical model, Circle of Security focuses on helping children feel safe, understood, and supported while also giving caregivers tools to respond with confidence and compassion. Through this approach, caregivers learn:
• How to read and respond to their child’s emotional cues
• Why challenging behaviors often reflect unmet emotional needs
• How to support both independence and closeness
• How to repair connection after conflict or rupture
• How their own stress, history, and emotions can show up in parenting
Circle of Security is not about blame or perfection. It is about increasing understanding, strengthening connection, and helping caregivers feel more confident and less alone. This service is supportive, non-judgmental, and grounded in the belief that secure relationships are built through everyday moments, not “perfect” parenting.
